Traders now put Bitcoin above $78,000 tomorrow

A 57-point rebound from the 4 Nov low of 30% leaves the $78,000 contract at 87%.

In one line: Bitcoin fixes above $78,000 at 5pm EST on 6 Nov, though less surely than the 87% price says.

Traders on Kalshi now give 87% odds that Bitcoin will sit above $78,000 at 5pm Eastern time tomorrow, 6 Nov, up from 30% on 4 Nov. The contract pays if the average of CF Benchmarks' Bitcoin Real-Time Index (BRTI) over the sixty seconds before 5pm EST is above $78,000. It rose 57 points from that 4 Nov low, and the venue records +43.0 points in the last 24 hours. It touched 89% on 5 Nov and has given back 2 points since. On 30 Oct it stood at 41%.

The other contracts in the event sketch where traders expect the price to land. They put 97% on a fix above $76,000, 93% above $77,000, 75% above $79,000, 68% above $79,500 and 58% above $80,000. With 58% on a fix above $80,000, the 6 Nov ladder puts traders' central estimate just above that line. Kalshi's contracts for an earlier fix on 5 Nov fall from 94% above $80,100 to 39% above $80,400, which places Bitcoin between $80,300 and $80,400 when they were last quoted.

Traders see Bitcoin back above $80,000 and expect it to stay above $78,000 for another day. IBIT, a fund that holds bitcoin, rose 2.44% on 4 Nov, the same session the contract hit its low. The 87% price charges little for the speed of the climb. This contract climbed from 30% to 89% between 4 Nov and 5 Nov, and a swing of that size the other way would undo it.

The call: Bitcoin fixes above $78,000 at 5pm EST on 6 Nov, but with less certainty than 87% implies, since a contract that rose 57 points from its 4 Nov low can fall as fast. The best case for the price rests on the 5 Nov ladder, which puts Bitcoin above $80,000. That leaves more than $2,000 of clearance, so a fix below $78,000 needs a sharp fall during the 6 Nov session. The call is wrong if the BRTI average before 5pm EST on 6 Nov prints at or below $78,000.
